What can radio do for you?
A customer had a requirement for a member of staff to be alerted to someone at the side entrance of their building prior to the main entrance opening in the mornings. Due to the heightened security risk in the City of London they did not want to allocate door entry passes to all who would need to use the entrance. CSUK was contacted to see if there was a simple solution that an existing radio user inside the building could be made aware of someone waiting at the side entrance via the existing radio system.
CSUK suggested a very simple and low cost solution which would utilise their existing radio equipment. A Motorola mobile radio was mounted in a housing together with a power supply unit and antenna. This unit was installed at the customers premises and connected to a power source. A vandal proof push button was then installed by the side entrance. When the button is pressed a ringing tone is transmitted over the radio channel thus alerting the internal staff member on their radio.
